Hyderabad: NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL), a subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has partnered with State Bank of India (SBI) to introduce NCMC Recharge as a new biller category. SBI NCMC cards are now available on the Bharat BillPay platform for various services including Noida Metro, Nagpur Metro, MMRDA Line 2A & 7, Chennai Metro, Kanpur Metro, and Parliament Canteen through SBI Unipay. Other Bharat BillPay-enabled platforms are expected to offer the service soon.

The introduction of NCMC Recharge enables customers to conveniently recharge/top-up their cards online, avoiding queues. Customers can recharge their NCMC cards with up to INR 10,000 through Bharat BillPay-enabled platforms using prepaid, debit, or credit cards. After a successful recharge, customers can update their card balance by tapping it on the terminal.

Ms Noopur Chaturvedi, CEO of NPCI Bharat BillPay, expressed gratitude to SBI for co-creating and launching this category, which aims to simplify the lives of daily transit users. She highlighted the seamless experience offered to NCMC customers across different locations.

Mr Mahesh Kumar Sharma, DMD (Transaction Banking & New Initiatives) at State Bank of India, emphasized the partnership's significance in revolutionizing commuting for SBI NCMC cardholders. He highlighted the convenience and security of topping up wallets via SBI Unipay and other Bharat BillPay-enabled platforms.

Customers can recharge their NCMC cards via Bharat BillPay by following simple steps on platforms like SBI Unipay:

1. Open the platform and select the NCMC category.

2. Choose the biller and input the mobile number & last 4 digits of the NCMC card.

3. Enter the recharge amount and make the payment.

After payment, customers can update their card balance by tapping it on terminals.
